A wonderful day with Sarah Harris and her daughter Dree, full of moments of carefree play, laughter and gestures of complicity and love. Through Sarah’s words, we touch on the topic of “change”, a concept that is ever present in her job and her everyday life as a mother, and that connects her to the ever-transforming world of fashion.
British Vogue Deputy Editor & Fashion Features Director Sarah Harris and her daughter Dree
I think of fashion as a family heirloom to pass down to Dree. I have always believed in buying less but buying better, choosing clothes that have a timeless appeal: I hope I can impart this sentiment on her.
Fashion should be joyful. I always think that great style comes from confidence and for me that comes from comfort, how clothes feel next to the skin.
My wish for Dree is that she grows up in a world where she can be anyone and do anything. I always want her to have the courage to dream big.
BE YOUR CHANGE
Reflecting on change also means looking to the future, to give, to the new generations, the courage, hope, and inner strength needed to imagine and shape their own lives.
